Your adventure begins with a morning pick-up from your Marrakech accommodation. Cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains, following the winding roads of the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m). Along the way, stop to admire breathtaking vistas of Berber villages and terraced landscapes.
Subsequently, as the afternoon light stretches across the landscape, continue your route toward the gateway of the Sahara. Along the way, pause at a traditional pottery village, where artisans still practice the intricate, centuries-old techniques of Moroccan ceramic-making. Their hands, shaped by generations of craftsmanship, breathe life into clay in a way that machines never could.
Eventually, as dusk falls and the horizon softens, arrive in M’hamid—Morocco’s last outpost before the sand sea begins. There, at Riad Dar Nomads, a tranquil guesthouse nestled at the desert’s edge, unwind with a hearty, home-cooked dinner. The serenity of the surroundings invites restful sleep beneath a canopy of stars.
