Arrive in Nouakchott and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, take a guided tour of the city: visit the National Museum, stroll through the local craft market, and end the day at the Port de Pêche—the colorful fishing harbor where hundreds of traditional boats come in at sunset. Dinner is served at a local restaurant with traditional Mauritanian dishes such as grilled lamb or “thieboudienne” (fish and rice).
