GEORGIA - Georgia is pure nature between high mountains and the Black Sea, centuries of history, a vibrant capital and small, almost untouched villages. Look forward to 10 days of variety against the beautiful backdrop of the Greater Caucasus. On this trip, you will see the highlights of Georgia with the capital Tbilisi, the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Mtskheta and Kutaisi and the breathtaking view of Mount Kazbek. Finally, you will relax by the Black Sea.
Itinerário dia a dia
- By off-road vehicles you will set out for the highest, year-round inhabited place in Europe, Ushguli (2,200 m above sea level). Due to the difficult accessibility, the villages in northern Svanetia have been isolated for a long time, thus preserving their original charm. Mountains, medieval villages and fortified towers characterize the landscape. In Ushguli you will enter the largest of the towers, which houses a small collection of Christian icons. After lunch in a local guesthouse, on the way back to Mestia you will see the "Tower of Love" and learn about the legend surrounding this structure. You will make a stop at Tetnuldi Ski Resort or Shchara Viewpoint to enjoy the spectacular panoramic views of the summit-rich surrounding countryside. (B/M)
