Lipari, Panarea, Stromboli, Filicudi, and Vulcano: even the names of these islands melt in your mouth like a sweet Italian dessert. We will visit each of these islands during this week and enjoy hiking them. Odysseus himself passed by here, the fire god Hephaestus forged the weapons for Troy in the crater, and the Sicilian King Liparos gave the islands their name almost 3,000 years ago. Highlights include the culinary and hiking experiences with the locals and the tranquil island of Filicudi, with its evergreen and lush vegetation. We will mostly travel by boat: from island to island, yet we will enjoy the comfort of a base hotel, as we won't have to pack our suitcases every day. A journey to remember.
Itinerário dia a dia
After the flight to Catania, we transfer to Milazzo on the north coast of Sicily. From there we take the boat to Lipari, the first of our fascinating Aeolian Islands. In the evening, we meet our ASI guide at the hotel reception. As we get to know each other, we receive important information about the upcoming hiking week, followed by our first dinner together, which gives us a culinary introduction to the island world.
