- Individual arrival in Keflavik. Pick up your separately booked rental car and drive to your accommodation in Reykjavik. Depending on your arrival, there will be enough time to explore the bustling yet relaxed capital of Iceland. The city center can be easily explored on foot. A good starting point is the small city lake Tjörnin. In the town hall, you can get an overall impression of Iceland from a large relief model. The Icelandic parliament is not far away. You should not miss a visit to Hallgrims Church, whose architecture is visually inspired by the Svartifoss waterfall, which is framed by basalt columns reminiscent of the organ pipes of a church organ. The modern Harpa opera house is also worth a visit. In the evening, it's worth immersing yourself in Reykjavik's nightlife. One night in Reykjavik. Approx. 50 km/approx. 45 min.
